

SUR: Al Sharqiyah South Governorate and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning on Thursday signed an agreement with Al Yusr Charitable Foundation. The agreement deals with the funding of a project to construct 46 homes for low-income families in the Wilayat of Masirah, to the tune of about RO 2 million.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of Oman Home & Building Expo and Exhibition. It was signed by Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Governor of Al Sharqiyah South. The agreement aims to realise social stability by establishing a safe sustainable residential environment that meets the basic needs of the target families and improves their quality of life. The agreement embodies the importance of partnership and integration between government institutions and civil society organisations in adopting and implementing housing initiatives that have a social impact.
